Competing in BattleBots is a thrilling challenge that requires skill, strategy, and creativity. Face off against real rocket scientists, Hollywood special effects artists, and the kid next door in the ultimate battle for robot supremacy. The competition is open to anyone with a good idea and the ingenuity to transform that idea into an effective robotic fighting machine. Stay tuned to for details and updates. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE COMPETITION? Registration typically opens eight (8) weeks prior to a competition. Once a tournament is officially announced, prospective contestants may register for the competition by paying the applicable entrance fees and submitting all required supporting documents. Builders must construct the Robot in complete accordance with the BattleBots Rules & Guidelines. Once your Robot passes the BattleBots Safety/Technical Inspection at the event, you will be certified as eligible to compete. BattleBots Inc. is currently considering the scaling of entry fees according to weight class. In addition, there may be entry fee discounts for current and new users of the IFI Robotics Control System. There will also be discounted rates in place for veteran contestants as well. Specific entry fee amounts will be released later. Entry Fees are nonrefundable except in cases where the tournament is cancelled, or if the number of available slots for entry is exhausted. HOW DO I GET TICKETS TO THE COMPETITION? Ticket information will be released approximately 4 weeks prior to the start of a tournament. Look for details on this page later. NOTE TO OUR YOUNG COMPETITORS: Children between the ages of eight (8) and seventeen (17) may enter BattleBots so long as there is at least one (1) qualified, supervising adult on the building/competing team. Children under the age of eight (8) may not compete in BattleBots for reasons of safety. Please consult the BattleBots Rules & Guidelines for further information. IS THERE PRIZE MONEY? The Prize Money amounts will be released later. HOW MANY ROBOTS MAY COMPETE? Although BattleBots Inc. reserves the right to impose a limit on the total number of entrants allowed, we will do our best to accommodate all of the builders who wish to enter the next competition.
